About the Education Lab
We envision a future where every child can reach their full potential. Achieving this requires an education system that is fair, innovative, and resilient.
The Education Lab was founded to help shape that future – together with everyone who wants to make a difference in education in Vienna. An initiative of the City of Vienna, implemented by Impact Hub Vienna.
Our mission
To create a place where educators, educational initiatives, administration and politics, science and business come together – to make proven solutions visible, strengthen them and bring them to where they are needed: in Viennese kindergartens and schools. To this end, we curate programs, promote the development of a lively community and open up a space that enables exchange, inspiration and co-creation.

Our Space
The Education Lab is located at Maderstraße 1, in Vienna’s 4th district, just steps from Karlsplatz. The rooms offer space for work, creativity and exchange. We place great importance on accessibility, sustainability and flexibility in the design.
Our rooms are designed for work, creativity, and connection. Whether you’re hosting a workshop, joining a co-working session, attending an event, or having a spontaneous conversation over coffee, the Education Lab invites you to shape education together.

Sustainability is not an add-on for us, but part of our daily activities – from the spatial concept to energy and resources through to community work. We are guided by the Sustainable Development Goals and ensure that our co-working space, our programs and our internal processes are designed responsibly. We have compiled our own sustainability concept to show you how we put this into practice
