Many innovative concepts are created where people dare to try something new. Numerous methods have long been successfully implemented in individual kindergartens and schools – but they often remain hidden.

In order to demonstrate precisely this, we have joined forces with School on the move and the PH Vienna we have organized the series get a taste & exchange series.

We visit inspiring educational institutions together and create space for exchange, new perspectives and practical learning among colleagues.

In April, we are at the Aspern Middle School, which won the State Prize for Innovative Schools in 2023 and is now one of the best-known schools in Austria. It stands for much more than just a modular system from which students can choose. It stands for networked thinking and action, for consistent, appreciative interaction with students and for innovative strength. Modulare Mittelstufe Aspern stands for analytical work with evidence and the courage to embrace school autonomy.

During this school visit, however, we are focusing on the school’s organizational and personnel development .

• How can we ensure that all teachers have clear responsibilities and are actively involved in school development?
  • A look behind the scenes of our matrix organization
  • Clear allocation of tasks through employee appraisals and annual work agreements
• Space for questions, discussions and exchanges with teachers and school management

The series is aimed at teachers, school administrators and anyone interested in new approaches to education. Together with School on the move and the Vienna University of Teacher Education we make visible what is already working in practice and invite you to think and participate.
