Job description

In April 2025, we opened the Education Lab in close cooperation with the City of Vienna and a large number of other partners. Our aim is to create a place where educators, educational initiatives and other designers in politics, business and administration can meet, network and learn from each other. In this way, the most effective solutions and innovations can spread quickly and reach kindergartens, schools and the education system as quickly as possible.
We are looking for an Event Support to help make the Education Lab an inspiring place where people enjoy coming together and creating. You will support the preparation and implementation of events, ensure that everything runs smoothly in the room and welcome our guests.
This role is part of a new team at Impact Hub Education gGmbH – a subsidiary of Impact Hub Vienna with the aim of enabling innovation and collaboration in the education system. Impact Hub is a leading global network for innovation with locations in more than 100 cities and 60 countries. Since 2009, we have created 3 locations and over 3,000m2 of space in Vienna with a focus on entrepreneurship (Impact Hub), climate neutrality & circular economy (Climate Lab) and healthcare (Future Health Lab).

Responsibility

  • Preparation of event logistics, including the setup of rooms and catering areas (drinks, snacks, etc.) for co-working, meetings and events.
  • Supporting the room bookers during their events: Greeting, showing them the room, doing technical set-up with them (laptops, microphones, connecting screens…), main contact person during events, troubleshooting
  • Post-processing of events: Dishwashing/clearing away, clearing away catering, resetting room to standard setup, tracking consumption.
  • Receiving customers and forwarding them to the relevant team members, hosts, members or meeting rooms.
  • Maintenance of the kitchen, catering equipment and event storage area to ensure that the event runs smoothly.
  • Occasional assistance at reception.

Properties

  • Practical approach, pronounced flexibility and a high attention to detail.
  • Willingness to adapt to flexible working hours, depending on the event schedule. Willingness to work occasional Saturday shifts, as well as evening shifts until around 10pm.
  • Willingness to work extra hours during busy event periods, with possible time off in quiet event weeks.
  • Confident handling of event and office technology and a generally tech-savvy attitude.
  • Experience in dealing with company representatives or business customers is an advantage in order to ensure professional and service-oriented support.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Very good written and spoken German and English.
  • Valid work permit for Austria.

Offer

  • Working hours: 9 hours/week (part-time)

  • Remuneration: 551,10€/month
