Social Media, AI, and Screen Time
treffpunkt.BILDUNG serves as a platform for regular discourse on current issues in the Austrian education sector.
How much screen time is actually too much? How does social media affect young people? And how do we deal with AI, which has long been a part of their everyday lives?
Digital media are part of young people’s lives every day—at school, at home, and in their free time. They open up new opportunities for learning, communication, and creativity, but they also raise questions about guidance, boundaries, and mindful use.
At treffpunkt.BILDUNG #11, we’ll bring experts and young people together to explore these questions. What are young people experiencing firsthand? What does the research say? Where are the opportunities, and where is there a need for more guidance and education?

We’re replacing the traditional lecture format with interactive small-group workshops and concentrated expertise.
Finally, we will bring all the experts on stage for a FAQ panel to answer your personal questions from the field.
