Early Literacy Education: The “Buchstaben-8” Assessment Is Complete—What Should Be Done with the Results?

How wonderful it is when a child has memorized all the letters they’ve learned so far, when they can already sound out words, and when they can even write down, sound by sound, what they’ve heard! But there’s hardly a class where all the children can do that at this time of year—mid-November.
How can we identify what each individual child is lacking? How can we provide targeted support so that, by the end of the first school year, ALL children can develop their basic reading skills with joy and without stress and be able to read with comprehension?
Our workshop focuses on the various obstacles a child may encounter on the path to learning to read. What does a child need to overcome them? What strategies can help them develop reading skills, encourage them, and foster a love of reading? Please bring your assessment forms—I’m looking forward to a lively discussion!
The Senior Buddies workshop series takes place twice per semester. Each session focuses on a different topic. The goal is to provide inspiration, offer concrete ideas to take home, and foster interaction among participants.
